Please allow me to introduce our company to you.  Ed Lau Ironworks Limited has been in business in Kitchener for over 50 years.  During this time the company has evolved from its beginnings as a blacksmith shop to our present status as a custom fabricator in "Miscellaneous Metals", "Steel Stairs and Railings" and "Structural Steel".  Throughout our entire history we have worked hard to establish and maintain our reputation for high quality workmanship and a co-operative relationship with our customers.

Ed Lau Ironworks has for most of the past 40 years been engaged in small structural projects such as interior mezzanine additions and structural renovations along with both large and small metal fabrications jobs.  In 1991 we retained the firm of Pow Peterman & Associates as our Welding Engineers, upgraded our level of certification with the Canadian Welding Bureau, and broadened our scope in structural steel.  In 1998 we became a member of the Steel Plus Network.

Presently, we are concentrating our efforts on smaller buildings and particularly those where we can offer a complete package of structural steel, steel stairs, railings and other metal fabrications.  We have recently completed structural steel projects up to about 100,000 square feet in area, and over the years have built stairs and railings for many of this area's schools, offices and industrial buildings.

While we are a "small" player in the structural steel marketplace, with 7700 square feet of shop and office space situated on a 1 acre site near downtown Kitchener, we are able to provide personal service and adapt to our customers' requirements.
